Philip Buxton
Mr. Buxton is a senior banking executive with extensive banking, corporate finance and treasury experience.
Prior to founding BFAC, he was the CEO of the Canadian banking subsidiary of one of the top 20 US-based commercial banks, having established that bank’s platform in Canada.
Achievements include building a significant credit portfolio of mid-market and large corporate names, development of an attractive foreign exchange and money market operation, and the establishment of a commercial current accounts business ‘private labelled’ through one of Canada’s largest domestic banks.
Throughout his career Mr. Buxton has arranged and/or syndicated senior debt financings for several large corporations and mid-market companies. The former Treasurer of one of the foreign banks in Canada, Mr. Buxton is well-versed in interest rate and foreign exchange risk management and hedging techniques. Mr. Buxton holds a BSc degree from Bishop’s University and an MBA from McGill University.
